Eureka Valley Rec. Center Reopening
Eureka Valley Rec. Center Reopening
On Jan. 28, 2006, Castro residents celebrated the reopening of the EVRC. Fully renovated with a variety of facilities, several LGBT sports groups have already moved back in for ongoing practices.

Some of the festive events included a game between Castro League players and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (who had some help with a few "ringers" from the University of San Francisco).

Supervisor Bevan Dufty led the ceremonies, which included honoring those who helped make it happen, Mitch Thompson in particular.
