This summer I directed a workshop version of my new play at the Jon Sims Center for the Performing Arts, 1519 Mission in San Francisco.

Bootless Cries is set in the Presidio military base shortly after the murder of Alan Schindler. It's about gays in the military, but also the real estate swindle of selling the Presidio to private corporations.

Thanks to the brilliant cast -- Gregg Pauly, Colin Grube, Ean Murphy and Todd Elkins -- for their help in developing it.

The Jon Sims Center is a great place to develop performance work. Thanks to Artistic Director Lauren Hewitt and Technical Director Kelly Lee for their help

I'm looking for theatre companies that are interested in producing it in the future.
